Weekly Therapeutic Counselling support for children and young people aged 4-25 within a school, college or community setting. We'll explore creative, relational and developmental person-centered activities that may include (but are not limited to) sand tray, painting, clay, stamps, stickers, movement etc.
By listening and working collaboratively with clients I’m able to keep their thoughts, ideas and feelings at the heart of any decisions to help them and those supporting them. Using creative enquiry and empathic attunement we'll build a sense of familiarity, trust and safety to support recovery.
In order to deliver safe and appropriate counselling sessions, access to a private room is required, preferably the same one each week. The course of therapy should not be shorter than 8 weeks. Depending on agreement, school team support provided when not in counseling sessions.
Regular, planned, individual sessions from 30 – 50 mins depending on the child or young person
Pre and post Boxall Profile to be completed with a teacher or adult that works closely with them. This provides support for teachers outwith counselling sessions.
Bringing to life Dan Hughes PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) as well as other contextual and trauma informed practices and principles.

Awareness of relational needs, patterns and therapeutic practice such as Security, Belonging, Valuing, Acceptance, Understanding, Uniqueness, Making an Impact and Caring.
Acting as an advocate to ensure the child’s voice is heard within a multidisciplinary environment and family setting.
